Lake Tahoe Riders Make the Climb
Congratulations to Ajith Amerasekera, John Mitchell, Cathal Phelan, and Keith Rust, four of our Dallas Chapter riders who made it through the ever challenging ride of Lake Tahoe in September.
Making their way up to the 1700 ft. summit of Spooner Hill is impressive enough, but coming back down, everything changed with rain and hail pouring down on them. They conquered the fast downhill slippery slope which took a lot of grit and caution to make it to the bottom. Together our four riders made it safely to the end, all in the name of “research.” No matter what our volunteers are faced with, they continue to ride on and fundraise for the cause.
It’s not too early to start training for next year’s Ride to Cure Diabetes. Find out more at the JDRF Ride to Cure Diabetes website or contact the JDRF Greater Dallas Chapter’s Ride Manager, Donna Henderson at dhenderson@jdrf.org.
