Walk Talk Goal for the Week: Get Enough Walkers to Reach Your Fundraising Goals!

August 24, 2010

Whatever your fundraising goal is, here are some tips to help you reach that goal:

Set Goals:

  • Remember – the average Walker raises $100
  • Divide your dollar goal by 100, to see how many walkers you need ($5,000 goal = 50 Walkers!)

Communicate:

If you are short on Walkers to reach your goal try the following:

  • Send a memo or e-mail to your company that you still need support to reach the companies goals.
  • Encourage current Walkers to extend the invitation to friends and family.
  • Sign your CEO up to Walk and have them send out a message out that they would like everyone to join them.

Other things to remember:

  • Put posters up EVERYWHERE!
  • Send an e-mail to all employees with a direct link to the JDRF Walk registration page.
  • Put up a Wall of Walkers in the cafeteria or break room with everyone who has signed up.

Incentivize:

Communicate your internal incentives with all of your company, for example:

  • Company Designed T-shirt for all walkers
  • Great prize for top fundraiser
  • Fun party for top department
  • JDRF’s official Walk Prizes – forward the link.
