The K9 for Kids Benefit
Special Event & Award Announcement
We would like to share this special offer to JDRF supporters for an event taking place at the Fashion Industry Gallery, put on by our friends at the Diabetes Friendly Foundation (DFF), who supports K9s for Kids.
The K9 for Kids Benefit will be held Saturday, November 13 at the Fashion Industry Gallery (also known as F.I.G.), located at 1807 Ross Avenue, from 7:30pm to midnight. It will be a night of food, drinks, silent auction and live performances by recording artists Jordyn Shellhart, Eric Paslay and The Special Edition Band. Mrs. Laura Leppert, who serves on our JDRF Greater Dallas Board, is also a supporter of DFF and is serving as Chairperson for the K9 for Kids Benefit.
We are excited to announce that at this event a special award will be given to JDRF Volunteer, Jeanine Connolly and Dove, her loyal therapy dog, for being such outstanding outreach volunteer champions. Jeanine and Dove will be recognized for their wonderful service to kids, teens and adults living with diabetes.
Jeanine is a Medical Family Therapist intern who has actively managed type 1 diabetes for nearly 40 years and specializes in working with people whose lives have been impacted by medical conditions. Jeanine and Dove have given countless volunteer hours to JDRF and our families. They are very deserving of this award and we can’t thank them enough for all that they do for JDRF and our mission to find a cure for diabetes!
