Build Your Child’s Self-Esteem with New Book by JDRF Supporter, Vivian Kirkfield
SHOW ME HOW! Build Your Child’s Self-Esteem Through Reading, Crafting and Cooking by Vivian Kirkfield.
Here is a book that we think is great! We hope you and your families will too! SHOW ME HOW!, written by long-time JDRF supporter Vivian Kirkfield, pinpoints and summarizes 100 picture story books every young child should hear, provides a healthful recipe and an eco-friendly craft project for each story suggestion and offers crucial tips to help develop self-esteem in preschoolers. It is the ultimate shortcut for today’s busy parents.
During her many years as a kindergarten teacher, daycare provider and mother of three, Kirkfield formulated a program that used picture book stories, not only for entertainment and enjoyment, but also as a valuable tool to help children deal with the many issues they encounter in their early years. SHOW ME HOW! helps parents build self-esteem in young children, develops a life-long parent-child bond and creates balance and harmony for the entire family.
Kirkfield has received positive feedback from authors such as Katherine Holabird (Angelina Ballerina) and Norman Bridwell (Clifford the Big Red Dog), clinical psychologists, physicians, educators and parents. A portion of all book sales will be donated back to JDRF. For more information, please visit Vivian Kirkfield’s Positive Parental Participation website.
