JDRF salutes the Sports Network presenting the 2011 Football Championship Subdivision (FCS) Awards on January 6, 2012 in Frisco, Texas.

Mickey Charles & Jerry Rice

Jerry Rice presented the inaugural Jerry Rice Award for Outstanding Freshman to Towson running back Terrance West. Eastern Washington quarterback, Bo Levi Mitchell from Katy, Texas took home the Walter Payton Award, the most prestigious in the division and second only to the Heisman in all of college football.

A silent auction was featured including collectibles and memorabilia from NFL legends and JDRF would like to thank Mickey Charles, CEO & President of the Sports Network for allowing the Greater Dallas Chapter to benefit from the auction proceeds which raised over $4,000 for diabetes research.
