Families of Type 1 Diabetes (FOTOD) Online Support Group expands to include Central Texas

April 6, 2012

FOTOD, or Families of Type One Diabetics, is an online support and education group for families that are living with Type 1 diabetes in the Central and North Texas areas. Not only does this group chat daily online but they also have several get togethers throughout the year! If you are interested in getting to know other families living with type one in your area come join us!!

What members are saying about FOTOD

“This group is AMAZING!”

“You’ll find this a wonderful resource.”

“I hope you’ll find the group as helpful as we have, it has made such a difference in our lives!”

“Hello everyone! I am new to the group and after reading some of the earlier posts on here, I realized how much my family needed this. I now realize how many people are going through some of the same things we are…..”

Group rules:

  • You must be a parent of a child with type 1 diabetes.
  • No medical advice is to be given.
  • This site is not to be used to sell products to the diabetic community. If parents have found a product they like they are welcome to share it with the group (that can be very beneficial) but we do not want marketers etc. posting sales and advertisements.

We understand that the diabetes community is a busy community, so we feel that an online group will allow more people to connect more often. To join the group or get more information, please email Alison Zettle at aczettle@msn.com
